Uta Heinecke was born in 1973 in Haldensleben, East Germany. Fleeing East Germany in 1984, she spent four years living in Budapest. After she finished secondary school in Hamburg, Germany, she moved to Austria and studied painting and graphic arts at the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts, master school of Gunter Damisch. Uta Heinecke lives as a professional artist and curator in Vienna, Mödling (Austria) and Pázmándfalu (Hungary).
